Time to Catch Up

It's been three months since I last posted and I am feeling very guilty for neglecting my little blog.  Our summer was so busy with sports camps and practices, shuttling kids here and there and going to the lake every weekend.  Now that the kids are back in school I finally have more of a routine going again and some free time to play in my studio.  I found a little bit of time over the summer to play with paint and collage and am anxious to do some more.   Here are a couple of the pieces I did most recently.  These are both acrylic on canvas with hand stamped collage bits.

These next two I also added some copper colored glass tiles.

That's all for now.  I plan to update more often now that we are back on a normal schedule.  I hope you all had a great summer as well!

So Many Projects, so Little Time

Hello and Happy Holidays!  I have been very busy with several different projects.  I have started my Christmas decorating but am not quite finished.  We have also been cleaning out our attic above our garage so we can build me an art room and a new bedroom and bathroom for our boys.  Trying to find room for all the stuff we were storing upstairs has been quite a challenging project!  Some of the stuff will go back upstairs but for now we need to store all of it in our garage and still have room for our cars.  The payoff will be a new mudroom and huge coat closet, a pantry, art room, bedroom and bathroom.  So for now, we will have to live with the clutter and mess and keep our eyes on the prize.  


With everything going on, I have still found time to embark on a new adventure-fabric collages.  I AM hooked!  I've done mixed media collages with mostly paper and bits of fabric but these are primarily fabric with bits of paper and other odds and ends.  Here are a few photos of my first few.
