It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

I'm finally finished with my Christmas decorating.  Even though I have so much going on right now I've enjoyed it more than ever this year!  Our construction project is underway and I can hardly wait until it is finished.   I will finally have my dedicated art room-Yay Me!!!  That's all for now but I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and happy holiday season!

So Many Projects, so Little Time

Hello and Happy Holidays!  I have been very busy with several different projects.  I have started my Christmas decorating but am not quite finished.  We have also been cleaning out our attic above our garage so we can build me an art room and a new bedroom and bathroom for our boys.  Trying to find room for all the stuff we were storing upstairs has been quite a challenging project!  Some of the stuff will go back upstairs but for now we need to store all of it in our garage and still have room for our cars.  The payoff will be a new mudroom and huge coat closet, a pantry, art room, bedroom and bathroom.  So for now, we will have to live with the clutter and mess and keep our eyes on the prize.

With everything going on, I have still found time to embark on a new adventure-fabric collages.  I AM hooked!  I've done mixed media collages with mostly paper and bits of fabric but these are primarily fabric with bits of paper and other odds and ends.  Here are a few photos of my first few.

Past Jewelry Pieces

It has now been one week since I came down with the flu.  I decided since I was stuck in bed with no energy to craft I would put up some photos of my past jewelry to spice up my blog.  I've been making jewelry for about 10 years now and I love to look back and see how my jewelry has evolved over the years and how the styles have changed.  These photos are of pieces I made just over a year ago.

Autumn at Leech Lake

Autumn has always been my favorite time of the year. Despite the fact that Autumn signifies the coming of Winter, where in North Dakota the temperature can get to 30 below zero, I still adore this time of year. Having grown up by the lake, I almost enjoy the tranquility of Autumn at the lake more than the bustling of Summer. These are some photos I took a few weeks ago near Leech Lake in Minnesota. I was glad to have captured these as in a couple of months we will most likely have several feet of snow and 50 mile an hour winds and it will make me happy to look at these and reminisce about the day I took them.

Welcome!!!

Hello Everyone and welcome to my world.  After looking online at so many beautiful blogs I finally decided to make one of my own.  My world consists of my mostly my kids and all their activities. When I have time for me I enjoy decorating, spending time at the lake with my family and all my many hobbies and art.

It has been 10 years since I started making jewelry.  I first started it just for fun for myself, my daughters, and gifts for friends.  Eventually I started to build up so many supplies and my friends were encouraging me to do it as a business so I started to sell it at home parties and charity events.  After slowing down for a couple of years and only selling in consignment shops I kept coming across all these wonderful artistic blogs and became inspired to dive back in full force!

I truly feel that art, hobbies and anything that you enjoy keeps you grounded, makes your heart happy and is good for the soul.  Have a happy day!

Welcome to my blog! I hope to share some fun stuff about my life as well as things and sites I love. Enjoy!
